Valentine’s Day Chocolate Tips

Valentine’s Day Chocolate Tips

* Dark Chocolate, contains antioxidants, which are beneficial for the cardio-vascular system. When looking for a dark chocolate, choose 70% or greater in order to reap the benefits.

* Milk chocolate can get you in the mood for love, which is why so many people give gifts of chocolate on Valentine’s day!

Although chocolate in it’s purest form can be beneficial, the added sugar in milk chocolate can cause cravings and eventually do harm.
* White chocolate is not really chocolate! Out of all the “chocolates” this one is the least beneficial as it contains lots of sugar without the nutrient properties found in the cocoa bean.

* If you are looking to reap benefits and have your chocolate and eat it too…go for the dark variety. There are even chocolates that contain nutrients from algae, such as E3 Live!

* Stay tuned in an upcoming post for my dark chocolate, gluten free, sugar free cupcakes.
