Relieving Pressure and Stress

Pressure and stress can be amplified by one’s job, parenting, during menopause, caring for aging parents or ill family members.  Women can become overloaded if experiencing all of these at once.

Some women need cardio exercise such as spinning to work out the kinks both mentally and physically, while some prefer to chill out with yoga, gyrotonics, or pilates.  Your personality and life style determines what will work best for you as what works for one person, may not work for another.

One of the best ways to de-stress is meditation. My “Soul Nutrition Sessions” are guided meditations based on the individual. After 2 hours together, you will come out feeling transformed and renewed.

Mediation can be achieved in many ways. One does not need to sit, say “om”, and try to empty the mind! Relaxing and unwinding with an inspirational book will help some to de-stress. For another, it is a matter of turning off the computer and turning off the tv an hour before bed. For those who are list takers, write out all of your have-to-dos an hour before bed, and get it out of your head, followed by something that relaxes you. This could be a hot bath with Epsom salts and lavender oil, or by listening to soothing music that speaks to your heart and soul. For some, walking outside, or getting your hands in the dirt will enliven and calm your spirit. In my family, we cook and derive great pleasure in making soup or coming up with a new recipe.

If you are the type of person who is amped up 24/7 taking a supplement that relaxes you can help. Calcium and Magnesium in liquid form or liquid gelcap form can be a great sleeping aid and relaxant. For others, magnesium alone will do the trick…but beware, since a large dose of magnesium can relax the bowels!
